My friend Carolyn gave me this idea. She is one of those people that you suspect is really sneaky but you have never caught her doing anything so you aren’t sure. Carolyn saw the water bottle prank and came up with this one. I’m not sure if it was just an idea she had or if she has been perpetrating this prank for years. Either way, it is a great environmental prank.

I call it the Bathroom Booger Prank because it involves making fake boogers and sticking them on the paper towel dispensers in the bathroom. This forces people to use the hot air dryers instead. Here is how I do it.



I suppose you can make booger out of just about anything. I happened to be out in my garage so I used my glue gun and some dirt from the floor. It made a fairly convincing booger that was still a little bit sticky. You could also use some hair putty, some gummy candy, tar, anything really. Just get it dirty and disgusting looking.

Next, stick it to the paper towel dispenser, put it someplace where it would prevent people from using the dispenser, like on the handle or by the opening.



I should warn you that I don’t approve of using real boogers or anything that could transmit disease. After all, this is just a joke, not an excuse to give other people your cooties. Besides, how tough is it to find something gooey and sticky? Not very. In the photo above I used the insides of a dried apricot. It looked pretty authentic. I’m sure you will find something easy and suitable.

Congratulations, you just used fake boogers to save the earth. That is just one thing that I love about you.
